Welcomet to Round 2 Division 9 of Battle of the Prog Bands!  This time, our two contenders are Frank Zappa and Univers Zero.  Vote for your favorite, and the band with the most votes will move onto Round 2.  Please do not vote if you are not familiar with both bands.

Here is the tournament thus far:

This was a really tough one for me, maybe the hardest in the tournament.  While I can't deny that Zappa covered seemingly every genre possible and was constantly re-inventing himself, he has had his ups and downs throughout his career.  Univers Zero, on the other hand, has been consistently amazing, and I prefer their music even if they weren't as eclectic.  Also, I like my music to be more serious than comical, and UZ is just that.

Zappa
Really don't mind if you sit this one out.
My words but a whisper, your deafness a shout.

Despite the fact that Zappa is the one I have a t-shirt of, I will be saddened when he beats UZ, for whom I voted

Oh yes, the debut is a masterpiece.  Maybe the best RIO/Avant-Prog album I've ever heard.

Well, only if you don't count Zeuhl as a subgenre of avant

also, i find it hard to see that riverside is over dream theater and the other bands of its group...

If Zappa doesn't win this, my faith in the human race will be shaken. Ouch

Let me guess: Anthony has never heard a Univers Zero album.

Here's a better guess: Anthony has a Dream Theater album as his avatar and therefore wouldn't be able to properly enjoy such real music as UZ

edit: that came out ruder than I intended Embarrassed

I was going to say that, but didn't want to sound rude.  Anyways, while Zappa definitely has a diverse catalogue, has he ever come up with something that comes close to "Ronde"?

Univers Zéro.

Zappa's not a band, you n00b.

And it's all about Hérésie.

Univers Zero definitely. Zappa doesn't do anything to me, while UZ is great.

Another vote for UZ.
Although Frankie has tortured my ears on so many road trips as a kid, I somehow managed to learn to appreciate him and he is now one of my favourite artists.

UZ's already winning by nearly 2/3's!  Don't let it end!
