Here's quite a tricky one. Top five albums that are not mentioned on PA's top rated albums...

1. Mars Volta - De-loused in the Comatorium
2. Dream Theatre - Images and Words
3. King Crimson - Power to Believe
4. Van Der Graaf Generator - H to He, Who am the Only One
5. Oceansize - Efflorescence

and yours?

henry cow - in praise of learning
king crimson - great deceiver
picchio dal pozzo - abbiammo tutti i suoi problemi
jannick top - soleil d'ork
wha-ha-ha - shinutokiwa betsu

I didn't check but those are my common top five. if one of those is actually in the top 50 then progheads have better taste than I thought

# for band in doom:
# if indiekids(band): addband(band, "Post Metal")

I haven't looked at the top 50 but I'm pretty sure that the eponynomous albums Flash and Captain Beyond aren't there, and I'm very fond of them both.

Oh, and Joe's Garage, too.   Surely that isn't in the top 50.  And I see that the guy above me has named Mirage.   If that isn't in the top 50, it's a crime.

God speed you black emperor - any album by them, they are all equally awesome
Acid Mothers Temple - Crystal Rainbow Pyramid Under The Stars/La Novia
Magma - Kobaļa
Soft Machine - 1 and 2
Sigur Ros - Agaetis Byrjun

Well that is already more than 5, but I could really quite easily replace most of the top 50, many of them I don't care for to much.

Camel - The Snow Goose, wonderful a masterpiece and i don't understand why they are not in to 50
Emerson, Lake and Palmer - Just one from their discography, because as one of the great symphonic bands ever, it's a surprise that they haven't a single album in top 100.
Dream Theater - Images and Words, their best studio should be in top 50.
Jos Cid - 10000 anos..., i'm suspect because i'm portuguese but this is a masterpiece, it should be at least in top 100.
Magma - Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandoh.
