Upon my first viewing, I caught the easily noticeable King Crimson and Pink Floyd references (song played and album cover in background). In a recent thread someone mentioned how one of the characters mentions that they are in Canterbury (not sure if that really is one).

Keeping these in mind, I ended up watching the movie again. I noticed the first three, but then I noticed two more that I have yet to see anyone mention (and I'm not sure if they're really valid).

SPOILERS?

I believe there may be a Magma reference when Theo, Kee and Miriam stay at Jasper's. When Theo wakes up in the morning, he notices Miriam doing something outside. Kee then asks (I believe I got this right) Theo, "Is she doing udu wudu?" I'm pretty sure that's what she asked. When the other references are taken into account, I can't help but think that this is another one.

Also, a character Theo and Kee encounter later is named Syd, who refers to himself in the third person and seems... odd. Syd Barrett?

What do you think?

There have been many threads about this topic, but everyone has failed to mention the Radiohead reference (playing Life In A Glasshouse at the beginning)

However, the Udu Wudu one is a new one. I'll have to look out for that next time.

Don't get mad at me if I'm wrong! Haha. I'll check it again later today to make sure.

I watched this (great) film the other night through headphones. I missed the Radiohead song in the background the first time, but you can pick it up a lot clearer through the phones. Not sure about Sid/Syd (I'd have to check the spelling in the credits) but he is clearly mad. Will also check the Udu Wudu reference, although not being a Magma fan particularly, it wouldn't have meant anything to me anyway.

These topics on "Children of Men" are really begging for a massive merge.
Bigger on the inside.
