	This will probably be the only time I vote for Dream Theater, but Images and Words is my favorite from them, and Petrucci was amazing on that one. Howe's work on Relayer is also amazing though... Edited by Melomaniac - February 02 2007 at 14:47

	For music, I'd go with Relayer, for guitar creativity, with Elegant Gypsy, but for the sheer tone of the guitar, Led Zeppelin takes the cake out of these.

	OK, Page was fantastic on Led Zeppelin's debut, but Howe - on "Relayer" was (as usually) incredible: many guitar ideas (1 track), excellent jazz rock (2 track) and smooth playing (3 track).

	I can't really make up my mind!!!! The choice is too dificult...I am inclined to say relayer, then I remember all that is good about Images (the ONLY good DT album) and the stellar playing on the early diMeola albums.... I couldn't care less about zepp though... Bottom line is..i wont't vote, its a tie between the three.

	Led Zeppelin I Relayer is technically really not Howe's best work. Same thing for I&W and Elegant Gypsy.

	Relayer. The fast guitar playing on the "batttle" part of The Gates of Delirium and the delicate steel guitar on "Soon" (ending part of Gates...) are impressive. Too bad that Howe can't play the fast parts the same anymore (the version included in the Yes Symphonic DVD is disappointing)

	Relayer.. in fact the last album where genius of mr. Howe is shining in the full light IMO. His playing never reached nearly as high as there from that moment.

	Al Di Meola is clearly the best guitarist of this bunch and "Elegant Gypsy" is probably his best solo effort (not counting "Friday Night in San Francisco" with McLaughlin and Paco De Lucia). Edited by dwill123 - February 02 2007 at 18:48

	Just listened to Relayer today. Some great stuff on "Gates Of Delerium". As much as I like DT, I'll take the style of Howe over a shredder like Petrucci any day of the week. E

	Some people should really try to make it clear to themselves what exactly they understand by "shredder" - it's become such a funny word lately... employed in all kinds of weird contexts. Anyway, Elegant Gypsy for me, although it's far from being my favourite of Al di's records.

	Again, good choices. And good to see it's not only classics. Haven't heard DiMEola... from the rest, I think Page is over-praised at times... I don't know between master Howe and my master Petrucci (is DT so my heart goes for him)... but I just don't know. Relayer is Howe's best guitar work in YES bar none. I don't know.But then, "Metropolis", the solo in "Learning to live", they invented prog-metal with that....sorry... When the brain can't decide, the heart has to.... PETRUCCI
