Nope, it's just that us progheads are use to more complex and original music.

They are not "boring" per-se.....just less flamboyant and more atmospheric, at least for their early days. PF is a good example where the result is greater than the sum of its parts because every PF member as a musician does not try to outdo the other. No blistering solos, complex drum patterns...all very ordinary stuff that explodes when put together!

I wanted to vote "mostly", but it wasn't an available option, so just when I decided for "Yes" a rainbow-colored light beam entered my room through the window and selected "No" instead... And then I saw a cow looking at me form a field of grass, and she said "One of these days... I'll ruminate you!"
Maybe it's the cold pizza from yesterday's dinner...

Recently replaced all my Floyd vinyl with cd's. Discovered on listening again, after many years, I don't actually like them that much! Some stuff is ok, WYWH is probably their best work, but on the whole, boring seems the most apt descrition!

They can be. For the most part they're not. I'll be pillored but Echoes and Shine on you Crazy Diamonds are overlong and padded. WYWH is the most boring album.

Wow. I was expecting people to really be pissed off at me for saying " The Correct answer is Yes, but you can think what you want", and I was actually planning some kind of "self-justification post", saying that im only joking and everyone is entitled to their opinion and yada yada yada.... but no one seems to be pissed off... yet...
Astonishing
By the way, my more specific opinion is that Pink Floyd have some very good, interesting material but on the other hand they have a massive amount of material that is boring.

Nothing wrong with finding a band boring, not everyone enjoys the same styles or bands... I haven't listened to any Pink Floyd for a while but last time I listened I enjoyed it
