Have a look: http://www.progarchives.com/top-prog-albums.asp?style_id=19& amp; amp;album_type=1 The last time that I looked the Prog Metal top 10 were ruled by Dream Theater. To be honest: When I first saw that Ayreon are catgorized as Metal here, I also thought that it was odd. But the heavy riff-oriented passages are one of the Ayreon trademarks, and some albums (Actual Fantasy, Universal Migrator) are clearly Metal. |

Universal Migrater Pt1 isnt even remotly metal, but part 2 has greats like Russel Allen and Micheal Romeo on. |

Ahh, that's very refreshing to see. I haven't heard Riverside's albums yet, and that placement of Lateralus is a tad high, but overall, pretty good!

I always refer to Pt.1 as "The Dream Sequencer" and to Pt.2 as "The Universal Migrator". Of course only Pt.2 is Metal. |
