Rush
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Allan, with Pat Metheny Group bubbling just under. Earthworks and Marillion also in the running.

Marillion
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

It's one of the rare occasions when I've actually managed to find a full album by the Pat Metheny Group on YouTube, and very good it is too. Smile

24 titles that does not interest me and a masterpiece:
Dead Can Dance - Within the Realms of a Dying Sun. Of course there are other great albums from that year.

Swans Children of God is a favorite. Other than that I don't enjoy much with a PA-relevance. These three would complete a personal top five:

Azanyah - The One
The Sisters of Mercy - Floodland
Roberto Laneri - Anadyomene

IQ - Nomzamo

My first IQ album and it’s very special to me. I know it has it’s detractors, but I love it and it narrowly edges out Marillion and Floyd in this poll

Crest of a Knave is fooking great metal album ClownEvil Smile
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

No shock that I gotta choose Allan, again.

Glad you finally got to listen to a full album by PMG, Paul. Tis a great album.

back during the lean years of the late 80's, I thought it was a pretty solid album; loved 'Farm On The Freeway' ...

Yes. It has the amazing guitar playing of Martin Barre. Quite a solid album, regardless if it's metal or not.
