I don't know if this an error, but for over a year (about 30% of the time) Serge Fiore- Seul Ensemble is the most popular album of the last 24 hours. It is currently is the most popular album. Big Big Train's new release can only hold the most popular album for a day? Can something be done? Don't get me wrong, I like Seul Ensemble. It's a good album, however, I'd like to check out "most popular album last 24 hours for new releases....like I used to.  Please ignore my complaint if you guys feel there is no merit to my gripe.

That seems weird, you’d think if an album was gonna hold that place for that long it’d be Yes or Pink Floyd. It has to be some sorta glitch

Serge Fiori is a good socialist. This is all part of the plan, comrades.
Soldato of the Pan Head Mafia. We'll make you an offer you can't listen to.

Yeah i've noticed that too.

I would guess that someone is clicking on that album several hundred times a day.

It's easy to do if you want a band to rank at the top of the list of recently viewed bands and likewise with albums.

However i would imagine that if someone was clicking on an album then the band too would rank on the list quite high.

Might be a glitch.

Sounds like some bot action to me. Definitely out of my scope. I'll take this back to the cave and see if there is anything we can do about it.

Follow-up needed.

After a brief eclipse,  Serge Fiore- Seul Ensemble is back as the most popular album again.

I'd recommend it for people who like Prog-Folk or the Canadian band Harmonium.

That's what I thought, too. Funny to see it in this section so often... May I admit I haven't heard this album. Is it worth it? Kind of appalled with its length. Cry

Sounds like the site owner needs to look into blocking specific bots. Obviously you would want the search engine crawlers to continue to access the site, but a targeted one on a specific album sounds like somebody has too much time on their hands.

I'd be tempted to remove it from the site and re-add it it so it gets a different album number and see if that throws the bot off.
