One of my best friends, who introduced me to Pratchett back in the day and that have been at several Discworld/Pratchett conventions, lost her mother the day after Pratchett died.

I never got as much into Pratchett as many people my age with my general interests, but I did enjoy the two novels of his I've read. RIP.

So, after Leonard Nimoy, Terry Pratchett (not to talk about the lastest news about Daevid Allen's health)... Frankly, what a sh*tty month.

A huge loss, one of the most witty and inventive writers there will ever be.

Very sad news. I knew of his illness, but 66 is still way too early to go. Now it's time for me to start reading his books, something which I have meant to do for a long time, but somehow never got round to doing.

I have never got into his books. But, I really respect him for the way he delt with Alzheimers and apparently helped a lot with alz charities. This is unfortunately a subject very close to me as my Dad has it (and hid Dad had it) and I don't really hold out too much hope for yours truly...
RIP
