This is a difficult one for me because I only know Jordan's work with Liquid Tension Experiment and, I think, one Dixie Dreggs album.  Similarly, I only know John's work through Qango.  Off the top, I'd probably say that I favor Jordan just a little more.

They both play keyboards!  And both have played with members of King Crimson.

To my recollection LTE included Tony Levin who was part of the 80's and 90's King Crimson.

That's correct. But LTE is a project that is very different from KC, and Levin is not such a charismatic member of KC as are Fripp and Belew. To my knowledge, Rudess never played music even remotely resembling KC.

If you want to compare the two artists, it would make sense to compare their solo albums. Rudess has just recently released an excellent Fusion album (Rhythm Of Time).

That was never my point.  My point was that both have played with members (past or present) of King Crimson.

Compare them in a way that suits you.

Voted John Young. Seen him with Quango & greenslade.

He also tells a good story about how when he was playing with Quango at the Astoria in London, some guy out of the audience came on stage uninvited (by the band anyway), played his keyboards during the finale, and then proceded to trash his keyboards. That guy was Keith Emerson.
