Okay, to put it simply....I'm running out of mind-blowing prog I need musical suggestions that will make my brain melt with chemical-prog pleasure. Now, think of it before answering. I like 70's vintage prog with sounding keyboards like ELP and Triumvirat. I like also the style of Genesis, Gentle Giant, Camel, Trace. See where this is going? Please, send me good suggestions based on vintage prog OR stuff that connects with Anglagard-like material. Give me your best shot, give me your top mind-melting album. Try the Swedish band Par Lindh Project.Par Lindh is an enthusiastic fan of ELP and King Crimson ('classic' period).Give their album 'Gothic Impressions' a go especially as you mention Anglagard as well which this connects well with (lots of Mellotron and traditional prog instruments,ie no 'modern' sounding keyboards) .

I've enthused about this particular album many times on this forum, but here I go again -
'Damnation', by Opeth - gorgeous guitars, splendid voice, and Steve Wilson on Mellotron - only released a year or so ago, but up there with the greats. |

If you like Gentle Giant, try Echolyn.

Keyboards sounding like ELP ? Try METAMORFOSI, "Inferno" or SOCIAL TENSION, "It reminds me of Macbethia", the latter being a carbon copy of ELP. This is very ELP-influenced. And Danbo is right about Echolyn, GG are their main influence and they deal with more tolerable voices than their idols.
