I segregate my girlfriend's house from mine (we are a LAT couple) so this melting of collection does not happen. But there is some horrible crap in her collection (she probably thinks the same of mine) but all things considered , it is fairly decent collection of record for a woman.

More ancient girlfriends had nothing in common music-wise with my tastes and had terrible stuff (K-tel compilations included and special TV offers on Elvis or disco) but I always managed to screw (literaly and figuratively) some musical taste in them.

I combined my collections with the wife a long time ago (she had loads of Tori Amos, David Bowie, Kate Bush CDs I didn't) ... but that also meant that the 90s pop section of our collection includes such stuff as Celine Dion's Best Of, Mariah Carey's Greatest Hits and both Spice Girls' albums ... I'm not particularly horrified though ...

The one CD that I contributed that all my friends (not to mention siblings and wife!) keep trying to tease me about is The Bangles' Different Light ... but I'll take Manic Monday and Walk Like An Egyptian over prog's weakest moments anytime

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

I have quite a lot: two REM (the one with Losing my religion and the last one), one Depeche Mode (Exciter), one Billy Joel (live in the USSR)... But I rarely play them.
Please forgive me for my crappy english!

Although, I have to say that had it not been for my wife, I would never have heard anything by 'The The' - terrific band, Matt Johnson is one of the UK's most under-rated songwriters.

Embarrassement wise - 'The Happy Hammond Plays Pop Country' - a gift from friends fed up with my Hammond obsession

I'm not sure this could be described as a 'worst' album but I have this on CD

..erm, I'm only guessing, but that doesn't look like a Tony Banks solo album, although they do say its the quiet ones you gotta look out for.

sigod, I bet you give this one a spin everyday

Holy Christ...I had this "masterpiece" on vinyl....must be somewhere down in the garage !

I have somewhat 20 Cd's of a band called HIMEKAMI SENSATION which is a Japanese new ageish project. They compiled japanese traditional music executed on heavy eletronic equipment (massive keyboards sequencing) Elevator music at its best.

So Ivan, if you think that Jon & Vangelis is like 20 mg Valium, This could be 5ml intra venous Sodium Penthol.... (At least Jon Andersons voice will keep you awake....in anger !)

I have some ABBA LPs from the 70s but they were actually a great pop band so it doesn`t really embarass me to have them in my collection. What really embarasses me though, is this Partridge Family album which used to belong to my kid sister. It`s in mint condition with the original sleeve and plastic wrap on it. I `ll hold on to it maybe some sucker will offer me $$$$$$$ for it.

Don't tell me that KE9 is a vinyl bore - CD and MP3 are quite adequate for the human ear - My hearing must have been impaired by the Motorhead et all gigs I went to in the late eventies/eighties !
