Camel’s Song Within a Song = underrated

Anytime I hear someone mention Moonmadness I always hear "diasppointing compared to the last 3" or "the only good piece is Lunar Sea".  I never hear any respect given to this piece.  It has always been my favorite Camel song and I love how each section and the emotional build and crescendo.

Respect this song and Moonmadness.

Moonmadness as a whole is a fantastic must have! btw, Another album
that I see that doenst get the credit it does is Rain Dances, my favorite if
you can't tell

I Love Moonmadness - Possibly my favourite Camel production too..........I love the opening track Aristillus..............IN fact this CD hasn't got a weak track on it - Just simply Marvellous !

It's my favourite Camel album.
When it came out in 1976 I rated it higher than any Genesis album and I was a Genesis fanatic.The synth,Mellotron and guitar playing on that album is stunning.It was not off of my turntable for months.
As a 16 year old (in 1976)many an evening was spent in my bedroom refining my tennis racket guitar solos to this album. I didn't get out much then.Nothings changed.

Doesn't look like the song or the album are underrated here - both are superb!!

who cares about musicianship, the songwriting on The Snow Goose is damn near flawless

I personally really enjoy moonmadnes and raindances, probably more than Mirage,

I completly agree, thought the snow goose doesnt show off what Latimer
can really do, the songwriting itself is top notch!

Camel, in general, is quite an underrated band ... I think it's their understated style myself ... I have the first six Camel albums and they are full of wonderful songs ... some widely acknowledged like Lunar Sea and Supertwister ... some less so like Mystic Queen and (gulp) Down On The Farm ... I should confess though that despite containing some great music, The Snow Goose is the album I enjoy the least ... I rate em ...
