Actually, I doubt it, Jim. As poor Dude is a heat-stricken denizen of the diminutive sun-baked nether continent of Australia, he has probably only ever seen ice in one of those pink, fruit-bedecked cocktails he favours.
If he would visit me here in Canada, however, where Spring is advancing apace, and the temperature has skyrocketed to a searing + 2C, I could take him to a nearby lake (yes, Dude, lots of large bodies of fresh water just lying around here; don't tell the Americans!), put the appropriate bladed footwear upon his over-large, marsupial hind feet, and show him in a very real, immediate, and memorable (assuming he survives) fashion exactly what it means to go "skating away on the thin ice of the new day!"
Heck, I'll bet that the ice has thinned to somewhat less than a metre thick already!
