Enter 2013, one of my personally favorite years. There are many fantastic prog albums released this year, both heavy and not, and we shall focus on the former! Albums with the most votes from the previous polls: 2000: Porcupine Tree - Lightbulb Sun 2001: Tool - Lateralus/Opeth - Blackwater Park 2002: Porcupine Tree - In Absentia 2003: Riverside - Out of Myself 2004: Ayreon - The Human Equation https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=133952&PID=6162358#61623582005: Porcupine Tree - Deadwing https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1339572006: Tool - 10,000 Days https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1339602007: Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet 2008: https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1339842010:

Ayreon, with Haken a close second. Doyle Alexander is popping pancake bubbles in the kitchen again.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

I think the Mountain might be one of their best albums and I will vote for Haken here.

Haken! (Or UK-based, Yes-inspired Dream Theater-reminiscent prog metal with a Devin Townsend-y twist and a sprinkle of Gentle Giant)

Haken have some pretty strong competition on this poll here, with Riverside collecting a large chunk of votes. Let's anticipate who would prevail.
