Relayer was the album that put me off YES in the mid-1970's as I was too young to appreciate it's finer intricacies back then at the tender age of 16, but I love it now. Coming Soon:- Ultimate YES: 8th Album. I wonder who's going to win that one. |

Many of these "great band against their members' solo work" polls are not that interesting, but here we have a very strong pairing with my favourite Yes album against the first Earthworks album, and I love Bruford's Earthworks. I give the vote to Bruford, but in this case the current score of 21:1 may play a role. (Going for the One is a pretty hard opponent, too, for Earthworks' second.)

These polls give me a chance to feature some of the lesser-known solo albums, even if no one's ever likely to vote for them - like Billy Sherwood for instance. I have a feeling YES aren't going to win the ninth poll in this series though.
