And maybe in non-prog world also.

I haven't seen much Satanism in the non-Prog world.

Rosalie Cunningham's brief track "God is a Verb" stresses the idea of God as action rather than a static entity.

L'Uovo Di Colombo- Vox Dei

Great song from a great album. More than a praise to god, god praising himself in style.

Tu che sei nato poco fa, forse ancora non lo sai
You who were recently born, might not know it yet
Ma in un giorno lontano, senz'altro lo capirai
But in a distant day, you will surely understand
Io sono il centro, intorno a me rotate tutti vuoi
I am the center, all of you turn around me

How the hell is Eela Craig a Christian band?
EDIT:
Yes, they did a cover of A Spaceman Came Traveling (by Chris de Burgh), but that is pretty much the only thing Eela Craig had ever had to do with Christianity. Personally, that is not enough for me to consider them a Christian band.

From Wikipedia:

Eela Craig was an Austrian rock band of the 1970s and 1980s, that combined progressive rock with jazz and classical music influences as well as Christian lyrics. The band's name is without known meaning.

I don't know their lyrics enough to have an opinion but the consensus is that they lean towards Christian lyrics most of the time. They don't have to be overtly Christian to be considered such

That's just a list of bands that are considered Christian or Christian light

4 stars 1986: Geoff Mann - Psalm Enchanted Evening - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPcTOx34g9XTOyzMddwck1LjVvtWFPB49

Will we ever hear Geoff Mann (of Twelfth Night) on the radio?

Chants would be a fine thing on psalm enchanted evening. Smile

Here's a religious prog song you can actually Dance to which would fit nicely into the Disco Prog blog too. Smile

After The Fire were a Christian band. Their first album was prog too. Subsequent albums were not prog and the Christian lyrics were toned down a lot.

Greg Lake, Jerusalem and religion:

ELP songs that touch on religion:
Lucky Man (the moog solo seems to suggest an ascendence to the afterlife)
The Only Way (organ recorded in a church)
The Endless Enigma (what are we doing here?)
Jerusalem (popular at English funerals and an unoffical English national anthem)
Hallowed By Thy Name (cynic!)

Suita Numer 9 by SBB, even if lyrically brief, is a religious song.

But it's not a preachy Neal Morse kind of Christian theme. It's more of an ecclesiastical baroque take on this subject.

Mercy, forgiveness
Hostile times rule the world over love and hope

Mercy, understanding
The time of suffering for freedom the bell constantly tolls

Mercy, salvation
The rebirth of people's will in favor of the existence of faith
“On the day of my creation, I fell in love with education. And overcoming all frustration, a teacher I became.”
