   Hi all!

My name is Ruud, lead singer and guitarist of Flock. I've stumbled upon this site in search of a way of making our music heard by people who can hopefully appreciate it. 

Some background:

The last year we tried to get some more exposure (which I find is hard in this type of genre). We launched an EP on vinyl which sold a little in local music stores. This EP reached a reviewer from iO pages (a Prog magazine from the Netherlands) who was kind enough to write a review about our album. As a result of this review we got the change to play at 'de Boerderij' in Zoetermeer as an opening act for The Paradox Twin. De Boerderij is kind of like a Prog Walhalla for us (lots of great bands played here such as Steven Wilson, Airbag, Amarok, Arena etc) so we were very humbled to get the change to play there. 

Bio:

							Flock is a progressive rock band based in the middle of the 
Netherlands, producing their own unique blend of music. Inspired by 
Anathema, Porcupine Tree, Alice in Chains, and Tool, Flock has managed 
to create their own distinct sound. The band consists of four members: 
guitarist/vocalist Ruud van der Lee, guitarist Gijs Niezink, bassist 
Marcel Verheij, and drummer Ruben Boas. They have been playing together 
since 2016.

							Their music is often characterized as melodic with a strong 
bite. Flock is also known for their use of vocal harmonies and their 
lyrical composition, which often touches on philosophical and 
metaphysical themes. This is combined with powerful riffs and melodic 
solos.

							In 2023, they crowdfunded, recorded, produced, and mastered 
their first EP, ‘Reflection/Perfection’, entirely independently.

PS I tried to embed some pictures but for some reason links to pics online don't seem to work on this website? I get the follwoing error: "Error inserting object in current location". 
Or I'm doing something wrong. In that case, please let me know so I can insert some pics/artwork.

	Thanks for permission to use the biography from your website. The Flickr colour photos that you posted above are excellent, but are all of the individual band members. The photo that we use on your page will ideally be one which shows the whole band together, so I joined the four individual Flickr images together to create a 2x2 montage similar to the first black and white image that I included in my previous post. I guess we could use that rather than one of the previous black and white ones.

I’m excited to check out "Reflection/Perfection." If you need help with embedding pictures, feel free to ask. Keep making great music!
