Sorry, I'm not going to spam the forum with these lists, but I wanted to do one more today covering some "B" acts with music I love. Here is the first: 25 "A" List Acts

I left off many faves that I had wanted to include (I wanted this to be in PA focused despite not all being in PA), including Joan Baez, The Byrds, John Barry (one of my very fave film composers), Angelo Badalamenti (I'm very big on Twin Peaks) and various other personal favourites.

Please excuse any typos or spelling mistakes as I never won a Spelling Bea (derivation? named after the actress from Golden Girls and Maude I believe).

Some PAers might say that this is indeed a B list, and if you don't like anything on the list, or even if you do, feel free to mention your favourite B's not included in the poll. I am happy to hear about what you like AND dislike -- you know it's all about that taste, bout that taste, bout that... Knowledge, perspective, experience....

Multiple choice again, vote for three (or more, or less if desired).

BRUIT ≤ is recent favourite of mine; love this. Maybe I'll suggest it to PA for Post-Rock some day. I mention this because while I have mentioned it before 9and even had it in an earlier poll) I expect it is very little-known here.

And I will mention again what is arguably the greatest music video of all time (and if I did not include the composer of Twin Peaks, at least I can get one of the actors from the show in this topic by highlighting this video).

This is one where choosing just three might prove far, far too unreasonable for me... Bowie, Bush, Boards of Canada, Beach House, black midi, Broadcast, Battiato, Banco... and well I chose 'em all because I am into all of them. I'll wait on voting and give some "unappreciated" ones my love.

Sabbath, then Bowie, then the rest of the refuse.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Banco and Kate Bush (from the list)
not on the list but a small little known band from Liverpool get a fair amount of play from me. If only they hadn't chosen such a stupid name who knows what could have been...

^ I didn't know that Big Big Train was from Liverpool. I like The Beatles but they were bested by The Rutles for me.

Bubu, Tim and Björk (in no particular order). I also love Bowie, like Sabbath, and don't know many of the others (but felt like voting, anyway. )

^ I'm glad you did vote, thanks, and for commenting which I hugely appreciate. You know considerably more than I would expect of people voting in this lengthy poll. That's a good number to know especially since a lot of the acts I like are not known or liked by very many here. If someone just liked one track by one of these acts I'd be fine with them voting. :) Now if it was, say, three tracks competing against each other, then I would provide them on youtube and hope people would check out at least some of each track before voting.

I started looking for Barclay James Harvest and Beggars Opera in the poll. I thought I'd somehow missed them. Tongue

I'd kind of like to remove Black Sabbath from the poll now in opposition to Jared's period of juvenile delinquency. Oh, and Mr. Jones at Lucky Mart wants that candy bar you took without purchasing back! Probably gone off by now if you had the gall to eat it instead of keeping it.
