These are 25 acts of note in PA from Canada which I culled from a longer list that included ones I like like Tim Hecker, All Hands Make Light and Bruce Haack. Please mention any other from Canada that you know are listed in PA that you like or just want to rap about, like James LaBrie, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson solo.. Of course there have been some other amazing Canucks in music like Joni Mitchell, Glenn Gould, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young and of course all the guys from Nickelback (j/k).
Please vote for one you like from the list. My vote definitely goes to Godspeed You! Black Emperor, but I love plenty of other music, especially Dionne - Bregent, Mort Garson, L' Infonie, Sloche, Opus-5, Maneige, Miriodor, Conventum and more. EDIT: Much as I like the very GG Et Cetera, which I have in my collection, not adding FM was a careless error and I have replaced it in that slot. I have known and liked the album Black Noise. EDIT Deux: Changed the title, eh. Edited by Logan - July 05 2024 at 16:01 |

Incredible prog from Canada. It's a shame the album was never properly released on CD. But what's interesting is that clearly the pirate "label" Tachika had access to the master tapes. I don't know how. |

Hmm, among the obvious Saga, Rush, GYBE, and Klaatu, I vote for A Silver Mt. Zion. Could also have mentioned FM, if they were in the list. Happy birthday, Charles!

Hevy Devy for me 😎
Happy Canada Day! Can’t wait to be flying into Calgary on September 18th for a 16-day fly drive through to Vancouver! Need to make myself a decent Canadian playlist, but Rush is the only other act I know well from this list!😲 |

Rush of course. FM is another great Canadian band that I've always enjoyed listening to.

Rush easily. I do own some albums from Saga and Trumph. Two other Canadian bands that are not Prog are the Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive who I quite like.
