These ratings for Ozric Tentacles LOL
I can see why the albums feels very similar though, even though after listening to them 1000x now they feel different enough :P

Love some bands from the genre, Pink Floyd, early Porcupine Tree, Agusa, Himmellegeme, Ozrics, Magick Brother & Mystic Sister, among others. Still a lot for me to discover, though

Sorry, but Ozric Tentacles' albums all the sound the same to me, so inevitably, they all ended up with the same 3-star rating. Tongue

There's a whole galaxy of Space Rock for me still to explore too, including Agusa, Himmellegeme, Magick Brother & Mystic Sister, none of which I'm familiar with, although I'll gladly add them all to the universal album listings. I'll take a guess that Himmellegeme are German and that Magick Brother and Mystic Sister are Gong and Camel tribute bands, respectively. Smile

The old "Gong" with High T Moonweed worked great space-rock licks into their music!!  Moonweed had a real touch with the synth! 

In concert in Chicago, I saw Gong (with Daevid Allen!) on two consecutive nights, and guitarist Steffe Sharpstrings (Steffe Lowry) did the honor with Mini Moog!!   plus Blomdido was onstage!!  Heart

I'd honestly never thought of Gong as a Space Rock band, but I'll Leave It Open for others to decide whether they should be included here or not. Smile

Gazeuse! Unravelling Gong's complicated discography of 57 varieties of album turned out to be almost as tricky as walking the high-wire at a Continental Circus. Gong have been in existence for over half a century now, so I thought it About Time we paid Tribute to a great band and Rejoiced together in their wonderful music. Gong breezed in like a Shamal with their debut album Magick Brother in 1970, but their real Breakthrough came three years later with the acclaimed Radio Gnome Invisible Trilogy. Gong began as a band led by Aussie Daevid Allen, but they then had a Second Wind in the mid-1970's when Pierre Moerlen branched off to form his own jazzy version of Gong. A later third version of the band - known as Mother Gong - emerged in the late-70's, led by Wild Child Gilli Smyth. I don't want to create A Storm in a Teapot, but personally speaking, I wouldn't give a Flying Teapot for any of Mother Gong's albums, although I realise they have a strong following here at PA. Anyway, to cut a long story short, my favourite Gong album by far is Downwind  - a precious album to treasure like an Angel's Egg - and I'll now Leave It Open for You to choose your favourite Gong album. Smile

Thanks, Paul!  I also did not consider them in the Space Rock genre, but they certainly captured elements of Space Rock, particularly with High T Moonweed's synth work! 

I'm VERY impressed with Steffe Sharpstrings interpretation of space rock.  Steffe was guitarist/synth artist with Gong when I saw them, and his solo stuff is superb!  I like that it is more modern that a lot of the stuff we hang onto from the past.

ABSOLUTE ELSEWHERE    We're travelling back in time now In Search of Ancient Gods with this absolutely fabulous sci-fi concept album from one Paul Fishman, based on the other-worldly books of Swiss author Erich von Daniken, who believes the Earth was once visited by ancient alien astronauts. Erich von Daniken was the David Icke of his day, although he didn't claim to be the son of God or believe the earth is ruled by a hybrid race of reptilian shape-shifters.  Tongue
