I don's listen to PPI as much as I did when I joined this site, but lots I like here. I feel like going with Banco del Mutuo Soccorso's self-titled over Storia di un minuto, Ys, Darwin!, and Perigeo in particular today.

Of these, I think Ys is the best, but Per un amico is my favorite.

There's always one huge album I manage to miss out, so that's a Flea in my ear for missing that one.

indeed, a very solid Italian year (the best with 75 by a margin maybe)
I haven't heard everything in the list and if I like BVC, maybe it shouldn't be in the list since I believe it wasn't really released as sucj, then. Despite that, I retain 10 albums from that list but feel that there is one huge absent: Flea's Topi O Uomini. Banco del Mutuo
Soccorso - Darwin Franco Battiato -
Pollution Buon Vecchio Charlie -
Buon Vecchio Charlie Garybaldi - Nuda Il Balleto di Bronzo -
Ys Jumbo - DNA Osanna - Palepoli Perigeo - Azimut Premiata Forneria Marconi - Storia di un Minuto Quella Vechia Locanda - Quella Vechia
Locanda I will probably give my vote to an album that needs it most (Perigeo or Jumbo). .

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |

Darwin. I like Banco much more than PFM, and Darwin is my favourite album from them. Such a special singer Francesco. As for PFM, I like Storia di un Minuto much more than Per un Amico.

So many good albums and what a good year!
BMS's debut is a jewel, like Darwin, Osanna, QVL , PFM, Balleto, The Trip... I gave a vote to the album with Il giardino del mago.

I wanted to vote different from the rest, owning many of these. I am an avid fan of the genre. At the end though, I had to pick Per Un Amico. Lovely album.
Wait until we get in a few years. I just might break away from the pack! I have a few unexpected favorites in the coming years poll. (function(){function c(){var b=a.contentDocument||a.contentWindow.document;if(b){var d=b.createElement('script');d.innerHTML="window.__CF$cv$params={r:'8912065b19f669c4',t:'MTcxNzk0NTU3OC4wMDAwMDA='};var a=document.createElement('script');a.nonce='';a.src='/cdn-cgi/challenge-platform/scripts/jsd/main.js';document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(a);";b.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(d)}}if(document.body){var a=document.createElement('iframe');a.height=1;a.width=1;a.style.position='absolute';a.style.top=0;a.style.left=0;a.style.border='none';a.style.visibility='hidden';document.body.appendChild(a);if('loading'!==document.readyState)c();else if(window.addEventListener)document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded',c);else{var e=document.onreadystatechange||function(){};document.onreadystatechange=function(b){e(b);'loading'!==document.readyState&&(document.onreadystatechange=e,c())}}}})();< height="1" width="1" style=": ; top: 0px; left: 0px; border: none; visibility: ;">

-Anyway, the rest of my favorites here apart from PFM's first are really both the BMS's, PFM's second, Le Orme, and Il Balletto de Bronzo followed by Jacula's first:) |

Jacula's debut was one of the first Italian albums I ever listened to and it still remains a magical album for me. I also like Antonius Rex - virtually the same band as Jacula but with a different name.

Storia di un Minuto, but I love about half of these. I'm surprised you gave Tardo Pede in Magium Versus a five star. I like it a lot myself, but I would have guessed it wasn't for you. It has got to be your weirdest favorite album by far?
