Sorry I missed this! Thanks friend. I hope the newest stuff is enjoyable once I'm finally done with it. Don't know if you ever saw A Month of Sundays from a few years ago, but that's free to hear as well: |

I'm not really into any of their albums after Signals, but I'll go with Test for Echo. A true dud, but not as bad as Love Beach...

Not a bad album, but Snakes & Arrows is the album I return to the least. I've always enjoyed Test for Echo, I do not understand why so many dislike it.

I half like it. It's very uneven for me. Certain songs I always listen to and some, never. I feel like it could have used a bit more 'balls' like Counterparts had. I love Time and Motion Driven (although the Different Stages live version is better) Totem I like Test For Echo Limbo Okay Resist I (usually) avoid the rest Virtuality starts out great and then gets lame and dated Dog Years - Ugh! I also have little patience these days for those Rush songs where Neil gets a little too introspective and/or preachy about the world around him. Edited by Jeffro - June 03 2024 at 07:05 |

Neil's lyrics for Vapor Trails were a big step up from the albums immediately before it, though I do like much of what he wrote for Counterparts. I don't find anything there overly preachy or introspect to the point it's stifling. Snakes and Arrows is another matter: The instrumentals saved that album for me.

At this point I don’t really revisit anything after Counterparts. That was their last outstanding album in my view.

Maybe Vapor Trails, it's the album I least enjoyed from Rush. It's not bad, but the mix is somehow strange and I can't remember any memorable song.

That was a real bad album!!!! the one to miss!!! but it has few great tracks, like Ghost Rider, Earthshine ( love the voice of Eddy!) Freeze ( part IV of Fear"). I am a huge Rush Fan but this album is the weakest. |

I know many a fan considers this to be the worst "Rush-related" release, but I liked it then and I like it now. New cover art. On 2xLP and CD.

Rush don't have bad albums, each album has it's own quality. If any new prog band made an album like Hold Your Fire it would be a sensation of the year, but new bands don't have a vision, melodic quality and instrumental precision that Rush had. Time Stand Still, Primemover, Lock and Key or Mission are badass songs
