You asked if I could narrow it down to 20 releases and that's what I've done. Smile

^ Mike was hoping for a ranked list of twenty albums (1 to 20).

Oh I see. I couldn't possibly rank the albums in order of favourites from 1 to 20, other than to place my 5-star albums above my 4-star albums. Smile

^ let’s just keep it unranked, so all releases get equal points.

I think there's a lot of great stuff from 1968 but imo not a whole lot that could be considered prog. I think it was mostly psych or proto prog and you know what? There's nothing wrong with that. Close enough.

^For this poll it doesn't matter too much whether it is prog or not - your favourite 20 releases will do just fine. Much of it will be prog or prog-related, and it will be listed in the combined charts accordingly. Smile

Pressed Rat & Warthog were selling their shoppe...  Sounds proggy to me.  especially since they mention "Amplified Heat!".

One of the world's greatest Bands, but maybe we need an "Almost prog" category for them.

That one would for sure have made my list, but PA says it's 1969, which is in line with the (unreliable) year stated on my digital album.

^ Yes, it was recorded in December 1968 but released in April 1969, according to RYM.
