Hi all,

I'm about to officially release the third Patchwork Cacophony album, Hourglass, in a couple of weeks' time. It's already doing the rounds of magazines and radio stations and I'm wondering whether anyone would be up for reviewing it for ProgArchives?

For those who know the band, this is at the heavier end, and the heart of it is four long, multi-section tracks. If you liked the "bigger" tracks from Five of Cups, this will hopefully float your boat. The fact that I've been spending my time playing in Gandalf's Fist and Broken Parachute over the last eight years has also left a bit of a sonic mark on the music too, I'm sure.

For those of you who are new the band, the music's been described as symphonic, there are definite nods to Genesis, Camel and Deep Purple, but also more recent Marillion, maybe Transatlantic. It's hard for me to say because I'm so close to it :)

If this sounds like your sort of thing, drop me a message and I can sort you out with a promo copy.

Ben
