^ A revolting riff on In the Court of the Crimson King.

^ Contrast that to the first single cover art ... (off-topic, since it's arguably not ugly):

Am I supposed to know what this is, because nothing is written on the cover. Is it a good album? If I was to judge by what i see, it could be a cover for some extreme metal band. I think i am wrong here, but that's what it looks like to me. edit: I googled the image. But let's write the artist/band name and album title if they don't show on the cover. Otherwise it's rather pointless, isn't it?

^ It was enough to make me associate it with that cover, anyway. But different people associate differently.
Much nicer. :) Actually, I kind of like the From Beyond-ness of the In the Court "deformative" art (but looks badly digitally rendered to me). Edited by Logan - April 09 2024 at 05:59 |

I'll tell you, it's Reimagining The Court Of The Crimson King . See https://cleopatrarecords.bandcamp.com/album/reimagining-the-court-of-the-crimson-king As for comparing that IQ album cover with the ELP, just sharing that it is reminds me of it, not saying it should you or anything like that. I am terrible at chit-chat. |

Yeah, I looked up the image and found out what it is. Tribute albums are rarely good, so I will stay away from this album.

I made it clickable EDIT: It will be released next week. The single released last week was quite decent, but all the tracks will have different artists performing. Will at least be interesting to hear LaBrie sing KC ... Edited by MikeEnRegalia - April 09 2024 at 06:49 |

^^ There was a topic on it in Get the Word Out by the supplier or label or something, which is how I found ot about it. While I love some tribute albums (tributes to Tim Smith of Cardiacs, to Magma, to Robert Wyatt) what I have heard of this KC tribute does sound pretty terrible to me.
EDIT: As an album tribute, I'll stick with Singin' to God. I only mention, again, for those who like Sing to God. Edited by Logan - April 09 2024 at 06:57 |

My Solid Ground self-titled debut is a well-crafted record with highly energised, adventorous music that is among the best progressive rock releases from Germany in the early 1970s. It features catchy, crazy compositions with menacing, great guitar riffs and obtrusive keys. Don't let the album's ridiculous cover illustration stop you from listening to it

Can’t explain it really - I have no idea what it means either, but then i don’t really understand what most of IQ’s music is about and they’re my favourite band!!! But even if you don’t understand it, how is it ugly?!🤔 |

I don't get it, what's up with that head? Is that supposed to a mouth? Is the head floating? Are there two floating heads? what's going on in there...

Thanks for explaining, I still don't like the execution. Not a good cover IMO.

I remember when that IQ album came out somone immediately drew a comparison to the cowardly lion from the Wizard Of Oz! That completely trashed it for me. I always felt that album was deeply flawed and the artwork almost ephasises that in spades. Their most talented member Martin Orford left the band not long afterwards and they have produced 3 masterpeices since (go figure!).
