Five Genesis albums: And then there were three, Duke, Abacab, Shapes and Invisible Touch. I'm sure everyone knows them so need for me to post covers. Also, two Yes albums: 90125 and Big Generator. I guess this one is worth mentioning too:

Cover art for Tormato by Yes

I'm sort of on the fence with GFTO though. Take out the naked dude and it would be pretty good imo but even as is it's not awful. Tormato is just pointless and the tomatoes don't help.

I don’t see how the two Transatlantic album covers above are ugly? And the guy on When Dream And Day Unite is very good-looking (in my honest heterosexual opinion)🤣

^ sometimes cover art is totally lame in relation to the music. That’s more suitable for an alternative rock cover but I find it ugly as an artistic statement not judging the guy

If it had been done letterless, featuring only that illustration, maybe in that case it could have been called a minimalistic sleeve design. As it stands, it's just a poor illustration set within an absurd red and blue frame with a quite uninspiring letter design.

Exactly, anything they did past those two covers works really well in relation to the music. Those first two just aren't where it's at.

For me, it's a great album of U.S. proggy art rock, extremely well done in the retro style of the mid-to-second half of the 1970s (Styx and Kansas).

I get what their influences are but it's very rough and ready and they also made better albums IMO.

One of many tacky YES album covers. This one is the worst.
