The later albums (that I've heard) are pretty disappointing to me unfortunately. :(

^^ yes, but it's a live album. Why is no-one including Real Time, Paradiso or Merlin Atmos then?

It's not a Vital VDGG album for me by any means, as it wouldn't even make it into my Top 10, but if anyone else wants to vote for it, that's fine by me. Smile

I'm not a fan, so I'd be in stalemate when it comes to arranging Peter Hammill's albums into a Top 7 list. Sorry. Confused

Lots of people here like Pawn Hearts, and I agree with that being their best album. A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers is one of the best prog epics. Love that wild and crazy type of prog.

1. Pawn Hearts
2. H To He, Who Am The Only One
3. Godbluff
4. World Record
5. Still Life
6. A Grounding In Numbers
7. The Aerosol Grey Machine

1. Still Life 10/10
2. Pawn Hearts 10/10
After that it gets more difficult:
3. Vital 10/10 (I have only recently found that pleasure for myself
4. Godbluff 9/10
5. The Least We Can 8,5/10
6. H to He 8,5/10
7. World Record 7,5/10

I have to say though that I am not too familiar with the newer stuff. Have only listened to present and maybe trisector once. The Least We Can and H to He have such great individual tracks I might personally value them a bit higher than they are worth. Actually in the classic 5 albums the only fault I could find in vdgg really is pioneers over c. And even that song got saved big time by vital. So im a big fanboy. But you couldve guessed it by my name already
