So here is one more of these for acts included in Prog Archives. I have included tracks throughout the series off albums I know and like. I have avoided some bigger names and even bigger-name songs at times. Mostly it just kind of starts with one track I would like to listen to again and so and on and so on that I have not yet covered in these. Throughout the series the idea was to only cover one track from an album, and to use five year periods for album releases (1965-1969, 1970-1974 etc.). Only once did I include a 2024 release, but then I started this in 2023.

So I will make this my last, at least for a while, on Prog music. I certainly do not wish to spam the forum with these. Comments of any of the selections and any related music is appreciated. Feel free to vote with limited knowledge. Please vote for up to three, or more if you really want to. Also, feel free to comment on any of the music with voting (this is not a contest) or to mention which tracks you prefer off any of these albums.

    Arzachel "Azathoth" (Arzachel, 1969)
David Bowie "Life on Mars?" (Hunky Dory, 1971)
Henry Cow "Beautiful as the Moon - Terrible as an Army With Banners" (In Praise of Learning, 1975)
Laurie Anderson "Big Science" (Big Science, 1982)
Talk Talk "I Believe in You" (Spirit of Eden, 1988)
Current 93 "The Teeth of the Winds of the Sea" (Of Ruine or Some Blazing Starre, 1994)
Art Zoyd "Épreuves d'acier" (Häxan, 1997)
    Robert Wyatt "Forest" (Cuckooland, 2003)
    Guapo "III" (Black Oni, 2005)
William D. Drake "Revere Beach" (Revere Beach, 2015)
North Sea Radio Orchestra - "Dronne" (Dronne, 2016)
Richard Dawson "Museum" (The Ruby Cord, 2022)

As ever, here is the playlist for explorative individuals.

I very much have enjoyed putting these together and reading the comments on the music. Thanks you very much to any who commented on the music along the way (be it positive or negative, but of course I especially like the positive commentary) and/or checked out any of the music. It is so very appreciated by me. And I hope that I have turned someone onto something they like, and maybe helped promote some music that I appreciate. And if anyone wants to do their own lists, I know that I'd love to see and hear them (even if the music generally is very outside my wheelhouses.... I like to be exposed to music that I might not otherwise try or even want to try).

EDIT: missed adding one of the poll options into the original post list of tracks in the poll.

Thanks Cristi amd Mormegil for your support of independently produced polls (just a reference to something).

Since this is the not so grand finale (it is the finale at least), and this probably will fall into obscurity soon enough, I thought I would mention the tracks which have been covered so far. Maybe I should create a topic: "Polls by Logan - a lot of stuff." (What is worthwhile is so subjective and all here would come up with good lists for their own tastes). Anyway, sincere thanks to all who took the time to consider these lists.

Azatoth is the best Lovecraft inspired track that I've ever heard.

In memory of Clive Brooks...
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

While this is curated from some of my favourites (that Bowie is very long time favourite - absurd yet majestic and marvellous) and so voting for a few of my choices can feel silly, I opt for the most recent of them.

Richard Dawson "Museum" (The Ruby Cord, 2022)
North Sea Radio Orchestra - "Dronne" (Dronne, 2016)
William D. Drake "Revere Beach" (Revere Beach, 2015)

This Richard Dawson track which had no votes I find so very, very wonderful. At times I'm reminded of Robert Wyatt and of music by William D. Drake. "Dronne" just draws me right in for a trip, and "I find "Revere Beach" so good.
