Wessex Fayre is a progressive rock band from Lincolnshire, England. They were founded in 2018. Their debut album, titled "Here at the End of All Things," was recorded at the Attic Studio from May 2019 to October 2021 and released in July 2023. A jewel case CD is available, and a vinyl LP is on the way. It is quintessentially English progressive rock, in the footsteps of the original progressive rock movement from that country from the beginning of the seventies, although Wessex Fayre's approach is also unmistakably and essentially contemporary; under the influence of the greats of the genre, this talented new band has built on its own sound. There are influences and inspirations drawn from 20th-century classical music, folk music, and contemporary jazz as well. The songs on the album are mostly long, complex, wittily thought out, and brilliantly played. "Here at the End of All Things" is certainly one of the most interesting debut albums of progressive rock in 2023.
The band consists of Daniel Hill (organ, piano, synthesisers), Alex Hall (lead guitar, nylon guitar, and production), Edward Hayes (drums, percussion, and sound effects), and William Hayes (bass guitar, 12-string guitar, vocals, cello, sitar, Indian flute, Bağlama, and penny whistle).

Lo-fi indie prog. You don't hear that every day. Checking out first track now. Definitely prog. Definitely eclectic. I'll take it to the team. Thanks.

And NOOOOO it's not heavy metal Wink

I thought Wobbler nailed that retro sound, then I heard Ring van Mobius, and then I heard this!!!! Holy shoot!
