And your favourites are? Big smile

All of those I listed are my favorites. I don't know exactly how many US prog albums I own, but I estimate that list is about 25% of them.

Hi,

There are too many to consider, in my book,
I'm gonna have to agree with Moshkito here

All progressive music... that includes my whole jazz collection - and much, much more. There's 40 million people living in California alone. That's 13 million more people than all of the Nordic countries combined. And I would struggle to limit myself down to a hundred of my favorite Nordic progressive music albums.

Ok maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration, but it was to make a point. There's just too much fantastic music to choose from. Boo-hoo there's far too much exellence in my music collection. It seems I have gotten myself a genuine first world problem.

But I wonder how much of the US prog scene was jazz rock/fusion? It's funny watching those y/t videos of the Sea Of Tranquility gang trying to make a case for Styx as a prog band. (I mean I don't know but for many in the UK they are only remembered for 'You babe')
Nordic prog is the new RPI. It's a whole scene of it's own and so many great bands that keep giving.

If you mean in the '70s, I'd say there was quite a bit of else but not very much.

I can tell too that USA is the nation which has got most albums on the two toplists I've made on the basis of all the ratings on RYM and PA,
when talking about the modern (post-1990s) years.
