...

Hi,

Kinda sad that Edgar Froese does not fit higher up, as his material is far more valuable and important to the development of electronic music, and he was exciting and innovative all the way to the end, unlike what TD has become since, which has no "vision" whatsoever, except a nebulous idea that meant a lot more than the mechanical design the band has become.

It's hard to evaluate these things, and Vangelis fits in this area as well, as his work, even in film soundtracks was excellent all around ... but is not given the credit he deserves.

While I can appreciate PG and SH, in the end, I find that their place in the history of music is stuck with rock music and nothing else, whereas both EF and Vangelis will be remembered long way after all these wannabes are gone.

PH is a different story, and it is sad that more folks don't seem to appreciate the quality of the work, and some of the beauty of the written material and how it was so well presented ... a veritable cinema of the mind.

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

^ Maybe we should have a poll of Progressive Electronic artists, then Edgar Froese would be much higher up the list. Wink
