It certainly doesn't bother me with ELP, but it's more like Yes, Genesis, KC and PF are The Big Four here. Wink

Thanks, I meant to ask how I voted back then. Not too different. Maybe I should make this an anniversary thread.

I did, however, do a search of my posts before posting and didn't find one in this thread, clearly not looking properly.

(had to edit it as I included Eloy twice lol)

3 years on I would put Big Big Train at No4 now. I'm not sure about my number ten. More a recognition of their consistency between 1970 and 1976 rather than anything else. I don't listen to them much but should rectify that. I absolutely love the first 3 PFM albums but little else they did after that stands up well. I enjoy 70's Pink Floyd like most people but don't care for the psychedelic era (just not a fan of that genre) or the Gilmour years. Could maybe include VDGG in my top ten just for Godbluff but again I don't listen to them much. I would love to include another 'modernish' band in my top ten but just can't think of one I love enough and has released at least 5 decent albums (Wobbler has about 3). Spocks Beard aren't far off , some great albums for sure and reasonably consistent band over a long period.

Three years on, there's nothing I'd change in my original Top 10, despite having listened to another ten thousand albums since then. Smile

Love to see VDGG this high, perhaps instead of Prog's Big Six, it should be Big Eight
The Wheel of Time Turns, and Ages come and pass. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the shadow.

Sorry about that. I'm old and getting a little senile. Embarrassed
