So happy a forum like this one exists :')

(please don't mind my very simple english, I'm a french girl who needs to improve a little bit)

I was born listening to prog rock as my mother loves it ; she made me discover the classics, from Genesis, to Yes, and Pink Floyd of course, Magma, Camel, Alan Parsons Project and so on... Then I fell in love with prog music and explored it with my brothers ! I would like to find some very "niche" bands, so please do not hesitate to share some good music with me. I would be happy to meet nice people, maybe new friends with the same musical tastes.

What I love with prog music is that it is not self-centered, most of the time it's a matter of tales, stories and metaphoric ways to express things that can be very profund and personal, but never narcissic.

Besides, I am currently working in publishing, I have a very cute cat named Sapphô, I'm a huge fan of greek culture and language (ancient and modern), I do bookbinding, I play the piano, I sing, and I think that's enough !

Right now listening to this song : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qi4jzaeIajo

BIENVENUE DU CANADA !
J'espère que vous apprécierez votre temps ici.

One of my very few regrets in life is not having learned to speak french fluently. The education system in Ontario didn't dedicate enough resources or time into making it a part of our everyday lives.

But one of Progs biggest bands has a historical moment in our own Montreal QC. ELP, with the biggest crowd ever at the Big 'O' stadium.

Looking forward to seeing you on some of the other forums.
Thank you for supporting independently produced music

Welcome to the site! Thumbs Up
Take me down, to the underground
Won't you take me down, to the underground
Why oh why, there is no light
And if I can't sleep, can you hold my life

My welcome to you too!

Another Greek Prog album I enjoy, and with the same apocalyptic theme as 666, is P.L.J. Band's Armageddon (1982).

quality over quantity, and all kind of PopcoRn almost beyond

On the other hand, I can tell you french people is most of the time bad at foreign languages (because our educating system is a little bit old school, or not interactive enough... a lack of "life" and practical ways to use words and idiomatics for instance !)

I love Emerson, Lake and Palmer !!

Welcome back my friend to the prog forum that never ends! I'd recommend starting with Resistance (my favourite IQ album) and then work your way backwards from there. Smile
