A collection of psychedelic influenced tunes by the Falcons of haunt.
I previously posted music elsewhere on the site under the name of The gooseberry spines. An active musician since 1977. Please have a listen and let me know what you make of it , At 61 years old I am still prepared to listen and learn. Thanks to one and all........ Edited by trench62 - July 15 2023 at 01:44 |

Perhaps I am on the wrong forum.
I regard the music as retro/neo psychedelia. Whore or a bore Alice is very floyd influenced. and the album has many traits of the 60's. Mellotron , hammond , sitar , flute etc is psych considered prog anymore ? signed a confused musician

Wow, this is great. Truly. Love it. Have you suggested your music for inclusion at PA in Suggest New Bands? It would have to be included before we would review it here.
See this forum https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_topics.asp and read this https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=122381 I'd like to see this in Prog Archives and could see myself reviewing it (no promises and I am terrible at reviewing). |

^ Bad is quite subjective, and I think they are terrible or I don't enjoy the results.
^^ No, I would not want to have my reviews reviewed. If I was looking to get good at it then I would appreciate constructive criticism but I am not because reviewing is not something I generally enjoy doing. I'd rather get better at things I need to do and generally like to do. That said, I only review that which I like and when I am really into music I am sometimes inspired. My last review was only because I added an artist and felt an obligation to try. I used to write film reviews for the local newspaper, and I think I was okay at that, but I did that for money, not pleasure (I disliked writing and submitting them), and I knew what was expected of me. Music I have found harder to review than film, but then I did quite a lot of film studies and not so much music studies. My only writing goal is to one day write a forum post that various people respond to with LOL emoticons, and maybe even a clappie. I dream big. Anyway, sorry, enough about me, but I really like your music. Edited by Logan - August 13 2023 at 13:17 |

Plenty to listen to if you so desire.
62 + albums on bandcamp and 30+ on spotify. From ambient to full psychedelia witha little neo folk , electronica and more thrown in. The alternative movie soundtracks may be of interest given your background in the film review world

^ Wow, that kind of quantity can be a bit intimidating. I do suggest for band inclusion focus on a few albums that you think would fit this site best and mention the genres they touch on in your opening post. The team will likely want to check out more than one album, choose well.
This would be a really big add if adding all of that, and I expect they would want you to add the albums and write the bio of course talking about your history and music and highlighting various albums. I happen to love psychedelia, neo folk, electronica, ambient music and soundtrack kind of music, so yeah.... At this time I am dealing with some other pressing things (not just work), so I would need to wait a bit anyway. I may have missed it, but did not find you listed at rateyourmusic, which is of course a huge music site and a lot of people there love the kinds of music you mention I have not added any acts to RYM and not too sure of the process. It is my biggest resource for reading reviews and finding bands and I would want to be listed there if I could be. Edited by Logan - August 13 2023 at 13:32 |

As someone who likes multiple genres and writing, I'd happily review a couple albums

Well, then, I will try to even if it is not good if/ when it is added (you can even review my review if you want). It's nothing compared to putting out an album, let lone over 62. And I would like to give your music recognition. I don't know how long an evaluation would take, and that would give me time to take care of some things so I'm in an good head-space for attempting a review. I do enjoy writing, but I just tend to favour less formal types of writing -- at the forum (because I like such interaction with individuals), and I used to write stories. Right now I am working on writing something (not a review) and struggling with it. I need to get the right balance of humour, sentimentality, a certain reverence and irreverence, find the right anecdotes....

Writing Can be tricky, don't overwork yourself, let it come naturally, I had a rush of inspiration one day and wrote a bunch of lyrics. Ever since then, nothing it comes and goes like a Karma Chameleon

I liked what I listened of it. It is very easy listening (and not in a negative way). It really sets a nice mood.
