Very good remark - a subject meeting an object, and there's the question how big is the resonance.

That is maybe even not quite/so true, as it's more a matter of a subject meeting other, cybernetic subjects, so it's not
just about resonance, but a good match. How about that? Big smile

^ How about that? Ermm
It sounds as void and devoid of substance as the previous statement, just like most of the dialogues you have with yourself.

Let me tell you, guys, if to put more weight on the number of ratings, PA's top 30 would surely look differently from
the present one - that would definitely be an inter-subjective re-arranging.

both me and Ian already debunked this, you repeating it does not make it true.

The least amount (smallest number) of ratings & reviews for an album in the top 30 is 1100 or so. Need I say that's a lot?! Smile

Anyway, don't ask me if I understand what bothers you here.

I'm just telling about my opinion, and I have no intention about doing it.

well, there is weight on the number of ratings, so you saying there isn't is just wrong.

The Top Prog Albums of All Time includes the albums with high number of ratings (and reviews), also some of the most beloved, highest-rated and respected prog albums of all time.

I seem to have spent half my life doing inter-subjective re-arranging, and when I've run out of CD's & DVD's to rearrange, I'll start rearranging the flowers (in my hair).  Tongue

I still don't understand what you are proposing.

The current rankings do take account of the number of ratings in the QWR number.

First group (top personal favourites)
King Crimson - Red
Pink Floyd - Animals
VDGG - Pawn Hearts
Camel - Moonmadness
Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon
Jethro Tull - TAAB
Frank Zappa - Hot Rats
Yes - Relayer
Camel - Mirage

Second group (excellent albums that deserve top rating even though they don't have the personal appeal to me to make it into the first group)
King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
Jethro Tull - Aqualung
King Crimson - Larks Tongues In Aspic
Yes - CTTE
PFM - Per Un Amico

Third group (excellent albums)
Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso - Darwin!
Genesis - Selling England by the Pound
Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso - Io Sono Nato Libero

Fourth group (albums that I like a lot but not at a really high level)
Genesis - Nursery Cryme
Gentle Giant - In A Glass House
Pink Floyd - WYWH
Genesis - Foxtrot
Yes - Fragile

Fifth group (albums I'm not so keen on, they're fine though - nothing here is bad)
PFM - Storia Di Un Minuto
VDGG - Godbluff
Anglagard - Hybris

Sixth group (albums that I haven't listened to enough to rate)
Harmonium - Si on avait besoin d'une cinquième saison
Wobbler - From Silence to Somewhere
Rush - Hemispheres
Rush - Moving Pictures
Rush - A Farewell to Kings

Actually, this was meant as dialogue with Lorenzo and maybe others on a kind of philosophical level.
Likewise, my talk about inter-subjective re-arranging.
