I am running Firefox and Librewolf (a privacy-oriented fork of Firefox) and the search function for artists is not yielding any results, no matter who I type in - nothing happens.

The search function on the homepage has been turned off by the site owner on purpose a long time ago. Can't remember why now...

Unfortunately I won't touch a Chromium-based browser with a six-foot pole (and even more-so now with the ad-block ban). And from a privacy point-of-view, Brave (which is indeed Chromium-based) is the sketchiest thing ever. I'm even considering switching to a Goanna-based browser to get off of Google's ecosystem entirely, since the Gecko-based Mozilla-developed browser gets funding from Alphabet (so they can't be accused of being a monopoly).

I just use what works, the Firefox browser collapsed sooner or later when I used it (weird). Might not be PA's fault entirely.

I also tried it on Microsoft Edge (the old EdgeHTML engine - since I can't remove this crap from my PC) and it still didn't work, yet strangely enough on my old iPhone 5S running iOS 9 (a 2013 phone on a 2016 OS) the search function worked on Safari - half the websites on this damn phone can't even load. Very strange.

Things usually work fine on Chrome for me, unless the entire site is down, but there was a period a couple days ago where I couldn't use the search function either.

How so? I use Firefox all the time and it doesn't work for me at all... EDIT: oh, I got it! My NoScript add-on was blocking google.com scripts. Edited by Tuzvihar - May 06 2023 at 09:37 |
