All of these "modern" females who are singer-songwriters (composers/lyricists) as well as musicians have released at least four studio albums each since 2010 under their given or stage names. For "other", please mention another such female who released at least four albums during that period, and is the primary driving force behind her albums and is a singer, songwriter and musician. This is to differentiate between those who are more singers for hire and more members of a band than artists in their own right who create their own music for their own projects (of course that often does involve collaboration with others for an album to come together). One can also use "other" to mention another album from 2010 up from one of the listed artists.

Feel free to vote for one album from each artist if you like, or just one or other.... If voting "other", please tell me who you are voting for and which is your favourite of her four or more albums from 2010 up. And of course recommendations are welcomed even if there aren't four albums (there are more female artists whose music I love from this period).

Recently I have been most into albums by Weyes Blood (pronounced Wise Blood) but I dig music by all.

All are incredible albums and musicians, but for the sheer amount that. I play this album the most it gets the vote. Anna von Hausswolff - The Miraculous

The one I know most of is Anna von Hausswolff, and the only one I've seen live, playing All Thoughts Fly, and this one gets my vote. I'll also vote for All Bitches Die by the impressive Lingua Ignota; her stuff is so heavy that I don't feel like listening to it very often, but it is unique and strong.

I occasionally thought I should explore the others (except Chelsea Wolfe of whom I've never heard), but I never got deeper than listening to the occasional song for checking them out. Of those I liked Susanne Sundfor most, and that I don't know more of her is only due to too much music too little time, maybe also Holter has potential for me. The three or four tracks I heard of Weyes Blood didn't attract me much, but I can't claim I know any of these artists well.

I will admit I only know Susanne Sundfor out of these, but I would place her as the second best female solo artist around (after Kate Bush) and Music.. is one of my favourite albums so I've chosen that.

Still just getting to know the two last artists in the poll... it's all mostly great or desert-island disc material here. I'll try and remember to come back here sometime.

Because of radio play of some tracks of her album I listened to the latest album of Weyes Blood... Each song is nice and beautiful, but an album full is much too much of the same. I listened to one of the earlier albums (don't remember which one) a couple of years ago, but it left me with a similar impression. No vote.
I only know the latest two of Julia Holter, like them both, but prefer Aviary over her Wilderness.
Sinner Get Ready made me want to listen to Lingua Ignota's earlier works, so I listened to Caligula and All Bitches Die, but didn't dare to go further back (great albums, but the screaming puts me a bit of. Sinner Get Ready, however, is a real masterpiece.
Everything I heard from Susanne Sundfør is beautiful, but I don't remember if I listened to a whole album.
Heard all albums by Anna von Hausswolff and like them all but Dead Magic is my favourite one.
Never heard anything by Chelsea Wolfe.

Dead Magic is a masterpiece and Susanne Sundfør's Music for People in Trouble also contains some real gems.

I was actually listening to a playlist I made that included all these artists lately. Per the criteria picked (female singer/songwriters with stage names leading their own acts), St Vincent feels like the most obvious miss. Bat For Lashes is also good. Neither would have passed my vote, though, which was Lingua Ignota's All Bitches Die - a stunning piece of music, although as has been noted, not one you will listen to often.

Another artist that matches the criteria of this list I have been enjoying lately is Torres, specifically her latest album, 'Thirstier'.

Although she has only two albums under her own name, 'Ricinn' is an absolutely entrancing artists as well. Her debut album, 'Lian', would have won for me if it had been in the poll.

Some other great female singer-songwriters from this era:

^ Thanks, I have been meaning to look into My Brightest Diamonds.   I already like Jenny Hval a lot and originally I was going to do three albums per artist from the time period, and she would have been listed.

These are some of my favourites not included:

Melody's Echo Chamber (Melody Prochet)
Dear Laika (aka Isabelle Thorn)
Uboa (aka Xandra Metcalfe)
Emma Ruth Rundle
Jenny Hval
Yaya Kim
Pan Daijing

I'm forgetting one of my particular favourites (getting old).

And I like music by Joanna Newsom and Lana del Rey. There was a topic I made last year where I got turned onto various others like Jorja Chalmers and many more (I'll search for it). From the 90s up dominantly, I like Bjork and Pj Harvey and older again, Kate Bush, and older still I love Nico.

I might well do a couple more polls to cover more territory -- love hearing the suggestions and will try to check out music from all that are mentioned that I don't know. I have been big on making youtube playlists, and plan to make one for this later.

@Kees: I too recognise the sameness that can be found in Weyes Blood albums, especially for me with And in the Darkness, Hearts Aglow. It's not a problem with me with, say, Titanic Rising.

While I could vote differently as all have multiple loved by me albums, today I'll go:
Weyes Blood - Titanic Rising
Julia Holter - Have You in My Wilderness
Lingua Ignota - Caligula
Susanne Sundfør - The Silicone Veil
Anna von Hausswolff - The Miraculous
Chelsea Wolfe - Pain is Beauty
