Greg, have you ever thought of writing policy documents for local government??

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

I find also this remark particularly interesting and worth more consideration than I maybe have done so far. Besides that, it was very interesting for me to read your whole post, and thank you very much for this extensive input.

As one more comment, ther're some reasons for that, and I must admit that the forums have my interest of their own, and that in various ways.

Hi, That, in some ways, does not surprise me ... and it shows when one collab only posts in JT threads, and the other in Yes threads and the other in Kansas threads ... so to speak. I have suggested, and asked several times, that each collab be assigned one article for a thread on a band lesser known and with good music history ... but it is obvious that the majority of collabs do not have the open mindedness that my idea pre-supposes. It is their site, and usually, as the Socialist class on society at the colleges and universities suggest, that the "majority" tends to decide what they want and to put it forth ... and ... in this case, it is a matter of not putting anything forth that is clear and visible. There is a marked difference, and it is visible in the "admins" that vote, let's say, on some of the film threads, as opposed to the "favorite" music threads ... and it's hard to not think this is the mentality. It's really hard to say otherwise what it would be unless one considers laziness and simple inability to write a single sentence, because they know their code and can help the site better!

Pedro - maybe people just don't agree with you but have decided to let you continue to be abusive. If you're not getting actions from the admins on your constant repeated suggestions maybe they fundamentally don't agree with your suggestions. How many times does it take for you to get the message and drop the subject?

PA would be amputated without you, Moshkito. When I come across your posts I always read them and often reply with a thanks.
But this time I do not get what you're writing. Perhaps because I haven't been that active in the public fora in the recent years but more in the collaborators zone. |

^ Mr. Redcandle knows (lol) how to make the site better. It can easily be understood. It doesn't matter if you understand him or not here. He probably said the same things before countless times, and he will go on saying the same things for eternity. No worries, really.

Btw, that is maybe not the best conception of the forum, as it has become the best possibility in the whole world for worshipping and discussing Progressive Rock as a meta-genre, and I guess, that has big significance for the whole site.

The way quite a lot of "Prog Polls" and threads in other Prog Lounges have turned, this thread can be of new interest.

The PA forums already are an all-music site. After all, who would've expected to find Talk Talk on a Prog-Rock website? |

Anyone who has listened and enjoyed Talk Talk's last two albums, Spirit Of Eden and Laughing Stock would expect TT to be featured on a prog site. If these two albums are not progressive, then I don't know what is.

Hi, You really ought to look at your own comments. More repetitive than my own, especially since you continue to be personal, and totally ignore the subject. Let's discuss "reading" shall we? It's just bizarre. Someone with the "supposed" intelligence, not even bothering to comment on the subject idea/question, and instead troll the thread. This is one of my things about Admins ... who seem to constantly ignore this, supposedly because they cannot understand what I wrote. I am not even convinced that some of them have read anything, since their comments don't even fit the discussion ... for which some love to say they don't get it! .... JUST ASK!!!

Hi, Thx. Much appreciated, amidst a gaggle of cynicism. I may sound like I am putting down the Admins, but in actuality I am not. I'm trying to challenge them to look at what they are doing and do it better. I have no interest in asking for their religious preferences, for example. The hard side here, is that at least a couple of Admins, are not very good at commenting on the SUBJECT, and instead change it to sound like something that they think is not right. I'm not always right, but is that the same thing as saying they are always right? All in all, my take is that the objectivity, and appreciation, for the many different points of view should be something that is enjoyed and discussed, and instead, a populist and mundane (as in personal!!!) point of view is taken and NO ONE has the guts to say ... time out ... this is wrong! I like this site, and don't want to see it wasted. But I think that many more "serious" music lovers other than the fanboyas here, are not going to bother posting much because of 1) the populist nature of things. 2) the continuous sidetracking of posts with personal comments. 3) the changing of the subject to make it look like someone is being cross ... instead of something else. And, again, there are several folks that are really good and are very neat in their work and responses. Losing any of those folks would be really sad. My inner light shines ... and will continue to the last day that I write anything. Some folks seem to think that if they can trash you enough times, that the light will shine no more ... and honestly, if I was an Admin, I would consider saying something about that! |

What i don't understand is why Talk Talk is crossover prog on this site when it's pretty much universally accepted that those two albums were the FIRST post-rock albums.

Sooo, personal negative vibes are seen as trolling and some again personal praises are much appreciated. One of them is on and the other is off the topic, for some egocentric entities. And that someone is in the delusion of being fair. How moronic is that! Lol.

True, but as we got just one genre tag per artist, it will do.

Still doesn't make sense. All other Talk Talk albums are non-prog. The only two post-rock are those two albums so what's crossover about it? It is post-rock not ALMOST post-rock :D
