This is an awesome page... I was introduced to it by another forum member (who's username on the forum I have temporarily forgot) and this is really cool. This webpage allows musicians of all levels to upload and present their recorded music in a user-friendly and appealing way. Its also fun to go searching through the various styles that they have and see what other people out there are doing.

Here are some links to it:

Thanks, SN - I've signed up! Expect to see my music up there soon... Once we've decided what the band/project is called, that is

Check it out!

This is a very old piece that I threw together and didn't finish... I think it's got something, though.

Then you can come back here and tell me how much it sucks!

/edit : D'Oh! I put the file up yesterday, but it doesn't seem to have cleared yet... maybe this evening after about 7pm?

Why is everything involving you so long-winded Cert?

LOL

Seriously, I like it.
Doesn't make me think of nebulas, though. More like ... car chases.

Soundblaster Live, Magix Studio 5 (I must upgrade, it only runs on Windows 98/ME/2000), standard PC.

That's it!

Oh... plus as many royalty-free samples as you can lay your hands on; there are loads of Trip Hop ones available - try the Dance eJay series. Trouble with those sets is that there's only about 1 or 2 good samples for every 1-200 out of the 7 or 8,000, so you have to do a lot of browsing. The best thing about the eJay sets is that they come with a free sound browser which works very well.

ok, for people who like extremely experimental music I just started putting one of my things up so if you want to check it out just search the name Nick P in artists. I personally think it sounds like crap so far but there's gotta be someone here that'll like it. If you have advice I appreciate it

i like it Cert.
Has a "tubular Bell" like feel, especially at the start.
You seem to have taken the Mike Oldfeild approach to writing music.
something pretentious

You guys are GREAT - I'm at #54 in the Trip hop charts out of about 1,500 songs!

I've got another one posted - it should be available tomorrow, and it's completely different. I think it's a bit "cheap sex movie", hence the title...

TMB - I'll give your piece a listen - just downloading it...

Yeah i used this site for some of my stuff last year, got offerered a distribution contract for it from some label who browse the site for new talent. didn't take them up on it as i was only 16, but still, it can be a great way to get noticed, or just to see how high you can get up the charts. Nice tune btw Certified
