I'm looking forward to The Final Countdown of non-prog 90's albums.

Exactly what I was saying... I need to see the video of one of the most famous songs like I need a headache. Europe has released 11 albums. Do you know any other songs by them? I don't think you do. |

That video looks almost Alternative comparing to the picture I have in my head from, I think, Europe's participation in Eurovision.

Europe never participated in Eurovision. You must have them confused with someone else.

David might be confusing Europe with Eurovision Song Contest winners, Lordi - or maybe not. Oh, Lordi Lordi, what were they thinking!? |

The picture is Europe, but if you're right, not from Eurovision.

You won't be surprised to hear that The Final Countdown is the only Europe song I know, although I've lost interest in Europe since the Brexit referendum.

^ Thanks! I always look forward to receiving a Pink Floyd face-palm from you, and I'm long overdue for one too.

Okay, face-palm is one thing while I find this to be a rather advanced kind of humor - to be honest.

Following on from Anekdoten yesterday, Anglagard are another bass-heavy Neo Prog band from Sweden and you can expect to hear a whole smorgasbord of influences, ranging from King Crimson & Genesis to the wilder extremes of Van der Graaf Generator. It's not hubris to say that Hybris is one of the best Swedish albums I've ever heard, apart from ABBA's Arrival album, obviously.

I don't think so.
This sentence made me laugh. |

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

Okay, so Hybris isn't as wild and extreme as Pawn Hearts, which is a good thing in my view.

It's time to climb aboard the Big Big Train as we say a sad Goodbye to the Age of Steam and give a warm welcome to the future of rail travel. The English Boy Wonders on board the Big Big Train are due to make their first stop at Stratford-on-Avon - birthplace of the Bard. The train will be Gathering Speed as it leaves the station with a stop along the way for repairs at The Underfall Yard, where the locomotive will be fully upgraded to English Electric standard and be ready to proceed at Full Power ahead. I'd just like to express how much I like Big Big Train's debut and I'm not going off the rails when I say I prefer it to David Bowie's Station to Station album. 1994: Big Big Train - Goodbye to the Age of Steam - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdktF-lL0yEbg38NZ8awxxPHTn4kKEg-F Edited by Psychedelic Paul - April 03 2022 at 06:01 |

Modern prog from 1982? That's 40 years ago. Is everything beyond the 70's modern prog?
