^ I've got to get over there someday, between the culture, art, cuisine, fantasy/sci-fi, martial arts, I think it must be my second country. |

For sure, it's a really cool place to be. To be honest though, I'd like to come back again when I'm a civilian and not military. There's a pretty vast difference between the two when it comes to restrictions (not even talking about Covid in this instance), and I'd like a little more freedom to travel out here.

Yeah-- plus you've got those monsters attacking Tokyo almost nonstop. That's gotta be frustrating. |

For those into Post-Punk and Gothic Rock, I'd like very much to recommend this Danish specialty Before (DK) - A Wish of Life (1982) ![]() ![]() with its strong rythms, bass and guitar playing, dark mood, very frenetic vocals and Psychedelic (The Doors) influence. Since its very release, I've always found it not so little mind-blowing, and wonder how come that it's not more internationally appreciated than it's the case.

I don't know much about Danish bands, but this is one of the best hard & heavy albums to come out o Denmark.

Knowing 4-5 bands is not much TBH. Anubis Gate is awesome indeed. Off topic here. At least Pretty Maids is on topic.

Again, very influential band, I prefer King Diamond's solo albums though. I was just praising a really good heavy metal album from Denmark. I recently re-listened and it was a lot of fun. ![]() |

I think the songwriting is great, the musicians are competent, the album is all killer, no filler.

By the way, these two albums are very fine examples of Polish New Wave, and, especially Lady Pank, with some lyrics which are amazingly critical towards the social system - in Polish though.

I absolutely hated his previous two solo album (Arc & Talking) and TBH, this is isn't that much better, but at least, there is the return of the Hammond... And one bloody great track. Edited by Sean Trane - March 26 2022 at 09:13 |

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |
