My offbeat lists and polls are a great way for me - and hopefully others - to discover new music. I'm 'opeth I'll like the sound of Opeth, just so long as there are no monster growling vocals in the style of Dimmu Borgir.

If you want to avoid the Cookie Monster vocals, listen only to Damnation, and the albums from Heritage onwards. (On the other hand, if you want to ease yourself into the growls, start with Watershed and work backwards.)
