LOL

But then, I don't think you know the full story in this case.

I must say, I totally misunderstood you "in this case", and I'm not quite sure how serious or fun making  you're here, but anyway it's very cheasy to both my eyes and ears.

I like some slow Reggae but in very different style, and like this one

Ijahman  (Jamaica)    Hail I Hymn    (1978)

Dread Zeppelin are a challenge to anyone's aesthetics, especially if you're a Led Zeppelin fan. Tongue

If we're so serious, I can say in general that I'm not much for cover songs at all, especially when I'm very fond of the original versions.

I think Dread Zeppelin are more of a comedy parody band than a serious tribute band and they're only lampooning themselves (and Elvis) - not Led Zeppelin. Smile

I'm very fond of the Zepps as well Tongue, and I saw it fortunately without sound.

Maybe what we need is a Dread Zeppelin tribute thread. Then again, maybe we don't. Tongue

^ Not to worry. We'll get back on topic just as soon as I post my ratings and album links for Ozric Tentacles, who I'm listening to right now, unfortunately. Unhappy

Not exactly torturing myself, but I'm beginning to regret embarking on their long discography when all of their albums sound the same to me so far. I'm currently listening to their tenth album (Live Underslunky) and I'm still waiting to hear that elusive 4-star or 5-star album. There is Nothing so far that really stands out for me, other than the weird album titles.  Confused

sounds like you're torturing yourself to me.
I never listen to music this way, I can't. I rarely do band marathons. If i do, maybe 3-4 album from a band. I'm listening to Camel now, third album in a row. But then it's one of my favorite bands. Easy to do.

At least I had no regrets about listening to 48 Marillion albums in a row recently, and on another positive note, I have Porcupine Tree to look forward to next on my A-Z playlist when I'm finally through with Ozric Tentacles. Smile

That is surely a challenge to my aesthetics.

Otherwise, I can tell that I have an approach like I avoid what I dislike and try to concentrate on what I like. Smile

I don't always choose the music I like for my Prog Britannia playlists, which is especially true in the case of Gentle Giant, who I only included by popular demand. Tongue

I can certainly understand that, and the good thing with GG is that you've found what you think of this otherwise..yes.. very popular Prog band.

At least I had a very welcome surprise with Marillion (thanks to Cristi). I wasn't expecting to like them, but ended up loving them. Thumbs Up
