WHAT HAPPENED? Can I really only think of 9 prog albums from this year that I remotely like (not counting all the King Crimson and Soft Machine live releases that I can't tell apart)? For shame! Please recommend me some good 2005 albums, PA!

1. Pocket Orchestra - Knēbnagäuje
2. Tera Melos - Tera Melos
3. Mats/Morgan Band - Thanks For Flying With Us
4. The Mars Volta - Frances The Mute
5. Koenjihyakkei - Angherr Shisspa
6. Shining - In The Kingdom Of Kitsch You Will Be A Monster
7. Alex Ward - Hapless Days
8. Fripp & Eno - The Equatorial Stars
9. Greco Bastián - Piano

Jaga Jazzist - What We Must
Porcupine Tree - Deadwing
Cardiacs - Garage Concerts Vol. 1 & 2
Kate Bush - Aerial
Tristeza - A Colores
Art Zoyd & Musiques Novelles - Experiences de Vol 4,5 & 6
Salaryman - The Electric Forest
Koenjihyakkei - Angherr Shisspa
David Sylvian - Nine Horses: Snow Borne Sorrow
Mars Volta - Frances the Mute

PS: Apparently the Kammerflimmer Kollektief is listed on PA but their albums are not. Just listening to their 2005 "Absencen". They do some great stuff for people who love relaxed instrumental post rock with rich instrumentation and some experimentation thrown in. This would be a contender for top 5 in the list above (and the top 5 are already pretty good).

Didn't realize these were that year, Gnosis puts live albums in the year of the concert not the year of release. Would slot in at #4 in my list.
