It's almost certain that I'll be getting it regardless. YOU, meanwhile, should get hold of some Samla albums! Maltid and Kaka are the way to go!

Did you listen to "The Miraculous Mandarin" by Bartok? If not, then I highly recommend it. The first public rendition of it in Cologne, conducted by Jenô Szenkár, caused one of the biggest scandals in the history of music. The lord mayor of Cologne, a certain Konrad Adenauer (who later became the first chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany), forbade further performances.

What's a good album to start with?

I've been listening to a bit of his work...  it sounds like a classical King Crimson!  Anyone know where I can get albums of his compositions being performed decently?
