Pell Mell? I find Marburg quite allright myself.

I love Marburg once I got past the kooky vocals.  I also love "Rhapsody" and "Only a Star", but they are very different from Marburg.

Yeah, the vocals are a bit of challenge for me, as well.

1. Van Der Graaf Generator
2. Pink Floyd
3. Jethro Tull
4. King Crimson
5. Rush
6. Can
7. Yes
8. ELP
9. Camel

No surprises here, except for Egg I guess. Bubbling under: Gentle Giant, Magma, Gnidrolog, Neu! and a bunch of others, but I went for the ones that made an early and lasting impression on me and whom I can safely return to whenever I like.

As a recent convert to the marvellous music of Marillion (thanks to Cristi), it's good to see Marillion made it into the final Top 10, although I'm still mystified as to how Gentle Giant made it into 9th place in  the rankings, above Camel, IQ and Renaissance.  Confused

^ I need to look through the whole 15 pages too, to see if anyone else has voted for Transatlantic or the Neal Morse Band. I'm pretty sure they have. Smile

The list is comjing great. And actually only Jethro Tull is missing to complete the top six as the traditional big 6. Still, it is interesting that all the top 10 is classic 70's prog, and nearly all are british... But isn't Canada still part of the English Crown or something? How does that work? Perhaps that way they could be considered part of the British or English prog club...
