1. IQ
2. Porcupine Tree
3. Big Big Train
4. Glass Hammer
5. Magenta
6. Haken
7. Lazuli

top 5 was easy to choose but then it's tricky after that. Annoying to have to leave out the likes of Frost*, Muse and Anathema as well as Wobbler, Elephant 9 and Anglagard who are all brilliant but I had to take into account the quantity of releases as well as quality.

They’re getting there without Crisi’s help, at the moment. From 11th to 8th after just one more contribution.

Not a fan of neo-prog or current bigger bands, so this list is a bit obscure.

1. Godspeed You! Black Emperor
2. Guapo
3. Circle
4. Alamaailman Vasarat
5. Kuusumun Profeetta
6. Koenjihyakkei
7. King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard

Unfortunately, none of those obscure bands have enough points so far to make it into the Top 10, but there's still time. Smile

Wobbler has two albums in the Top Prog Albums (all-time) on PA. It's still early in this poll, but do the Wobbler fans not participate in these forums? I'm baffled why they aren't up there with Porcupine Tree. Confused

7 bands to choose from 40 years of music is rather difficult TBH.
I'll think about it and make a list soon.

Yes, it's true Wobbler have got off to a bit of a wobbly start with just 11 points amassed so far, but it's still early days yet. Smile

But I can tell you what I'm planning to do here, and that is just to mention all the bands which more or less are my favourites. Smile
