I love Marillion's The Party, what's wrong with it? Confused

Nothing. I wonder do people bother with the lyrics?

what's wrong with its lyrics?

I like Body Language. There's something a bit dark about it which fascinates me. One just has to accept that it is not the usual "rock-Queen".

Body Language, yeah it's not great.

Killer Queen though???
Yes. It's puzzling.

The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground

The offending song is "The Murder Mystery". It's just not good.

And also The Velvet Underground - White Light/White Heat

The "Song" is "The Gift", it completely kills the mood of the album, when it's just beggining, instant skip for me.

The Beatles - 'White Album'

Revolution 9. Sound effects

Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway

Again, more sound effects, "The Waiting Room"

I'm quite a fan of the Genesis LP "And Then There Were Three," but I never particularly cared for the track "Say It's Alright Joe."  That would be my contribution to this thread.  Be well, everyone!

I don't hate it. Is it my least favorite on Hot Space? Probably just about. Calling All Girls could take that spot for not being all that interesting, but it's a pretty nicely written little pop tune. Overall I think Get Down, Make Love is a more well conceived Freddie sex song... I may like My Baby Does Me better as well. But! I don't hate Body Language. I'll listen to it willingly.
Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)

"A Trick of the Tail" (Genesis) for me - could never stand the song "Robbery, Assault and Battery" on what is an otherwise excellent album.
I've always been so drawn to Tokyo...

Plenty of classics that have more than one bad song to my ears (ELP, Queen, etc...) , so I'll just name

My obvious ones:

Grey & Pink: Love to Love You
Selling England: More Puke Me (to a lesser extent: FYFM from ATTWT - which is just an ok album)
Rainbow Rising : Do You Close Your Ears? (Rainbow Eyes is also a misfit on LLRnR)
Kid A : Idiotheque
Even In The Quietest Moments: Give A Little Bit
Meddle: Seamus (though San Tropez is also a bit of a clunker)
W&W: Your own special way
APP: The hare

BTW: Babaji , RA&B & Waiting Room are great. ClapStar

I never understood why Maxwell, OG and Obla Di get soo much abuse. Confused

content to be a doer

rather than un-sheath our sword

There are NO bad songs on Grave New World.

You can say that again with "Love to Love You"

While In The Land of Grey and Pink by Caravan is not my favorite prog record, it is still fantastic with my favorite track being either the side long suite or Winter Wine. All the tracks are good though except for Love to Love You, I do not like it.

So my good album with a bad song would be maybe Providence by King Crimson on the album Red. The song following it is awesome though.

Sean also hates More Fool Me so much that he goes as far as to call it More Puke Me.

Yeah, good pick, however a non-pick if they had placed the Seamus track from Live at Pompeii on the Album. Unfortunately they would have needed a time machine. Hindsight as they say.

I'm sorry, if you were right, I'd agree with you. Robin Williams.

I didn't know what to make of Providence for a long time. I knew I liked it better than the long instrumental passage of Moonchild, but it still didn't really click with me for ages. Eventually once my regard for the album as a whole rose substantially (it wasn't an immediate click despite now being my favorite Crimson album) I came to appreciate it more, and now that I'm listening to a lot of their live stuff I really do enjoy it a lot. I don't think it's fair to call it bad, just very different. Perhaps even out of place, but I can't think of another way to precede Starless which would set the right tone for my mind to be blown.

I would have greatly preferred "Ozone Baby" (which later appeared on the Coda album) to be between "Fool in the Rain" and "Carouselambra".

I agree that "Robbery, Assault, and Battery" is the weakest song on ATotT, but it doesn't ruin the album and it's still worth listening to for Tony's solo.

Another on. This only a decent album, not an excellent album though.

Breathless by Camel - You Make Me Smile

It sounds like something that would come from their next album. I wish Ice was on Breathless and You Make Me Smile was on ICSYHFH.
