Perhaps not a favourite director to many here but this aussie got nack for style, colour and movement. I have seen three out of five, Moulin, R+J, and TGG, and they are all intriguing spectacles, creating their own fantasy world buble. That luls you into the charm , but the Great Gatsby is a wonderful film, a spectacle of camera angles, acting, the air of mystery from the novel and leaves you engulfed in all its details. A great adapton wonderfulacting by all the cast.

Great movies, all five of them, but some are better/more original than others. I especially like his Shakespeare adaptation, so it gets my vote here.

Hes the film industry equivelant to Tool, not exactly prolific, does not steam roll production, but takes hes time and lets the art lead the production and not the money.

It’s between Romeo + Juliet, and Moulin Rouge for me - but I’ll give my vote to the former.
